Biography

Dr. Khoodoruth earned his MD from Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China, and completed his Psychiatry residency at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) in Qatar in 2021, where he served as Chief Resident and became a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (UK). He completed a fellowship in Child Adolescent Psychiatry at HMC in 2024 and also obtained a Master's degree in Genomics Precision Medicine from Hamad Bin Khalifa University in Qatar. His master's thesis investigated inflammatory markers as potential biomarkers for treatment-resistant schizophrenia. Dr. Khoodoruth has an extensive publication record with 30 research publications, of which he is a co-author on 17. His research interests include epigenetic and genetic mechanisms underlying neurodevelopmental disorders, treatment-resistant schizophrenia, psychiatric proteomics, and vaccine hesitancy in precision child adolescent psychiatry. He is passionate about working with young children, adolescents, and families to improve and foster mental health and well-being, committed to providing compassionate care and innovative treatment approaches tailored to the unique needs of individuals.
