Biography

Mohamed Zaki is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Western University. He received his Doctorate in Computer Engineering from Concordia University in 2008 and has significant experience in multidisciplinary research focusing on smart mobility and traffic safety. Prior to his current position, Dr. Zaki served as an Assistant Professor in the Civil, Environmental & Construction Engineering Department at the University of Central Florida. Dr. Zaki has published over 50 peer-reviewed journal articles and has been awarded the Thomas C. Keefer Medal by the Canadian Society of Civil Engineering in 2021. He also contributes as a Handling Editor for the Transportation Research Record Journal and is active in committees under the Transportation Research Board and the American Society of Civil Engineers.
