Biography

Mohammad joined the School of Engineering at the University of Warwick in October 2021 as an Associate Professor. He initially managed the Electromechanical Engineering Degree Apprenticeship program and became Director of Studies for the Mechanical, Materials, and Process Stream. Previously, he was a Senior Teaching Fellow in Mechanical Engineering at WMG, University of Warwick, and served as the Discipline Group Leader in the Mechanical Engineering Stream. Additionally, he has experience as a lecturer at Coventry University. He graduated with a first-class BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology in 2005, completed an MSc with distinction in Sustainable Energy Technologies at the University of Southampton in 2009, and earned his PhD in solar photovoltaics from the University of Warwick. He received the Faculty of Science Best Thesis Award in 2017 for his PhD thesis. Mohammad is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a Chartered Engineer, as well as a member of IMechE. He has extensive overseas work experience in the solar photovoltaic manufacturing industry, focusing on research and development of P.V. solar cells and modules.
