Biography

Dr. Mohammad Goudarzi is a Lecturer in the Department of Software Systems and Cybersecurity at Monash University. He is currently affiliated with UNSW Sydney Cybersecurity CRC and has served as a Senior Research Associate on a joint project with Cisco. He earned his PhD in Computer Science Engineering from the University of Melbourne. Dr. Goudarzi's research interests include Distributed Systems, Algorithms, Cloud Computing, Edge Computing, Internet of Things (IoT), and Applied Machine Learning. He has been recognized as one of the top 200 young computer science and mathematics scientists at the Heidelberg Laureate Forum in 2024. His contributions to education and research have earned him multiple awards such as the IEEE TCCLD Outstanding Ph.D. Thesis and the Oracle Cloud Architect Year Award. He teaches courses focused on Cloud Computing Security and Big Data Processing at Monash University.
