Dr. Mohammad Shahbazy

Biography

Mohammad Shahbazy is a postdoctoral associate at Yale School of Medicine, where he continues his research on tumor-specific neoantigens. He obtained his MSc in analytical chemistry and bioinformatics, focusing on machine learning strategies for biomedical data analysis and early cancer diagnosis. He completed his PhD in immunology and analytical biochemistry at the Biomedicine Discovery Institute, Monash University, where he developed high-throughput mass spectrometry-based proteomics and immunopeptidomics platforms. His work involves quantitatively analyzing stability profiles of post-translational modifications in MHC/HLA-bound peptides and creating immunoinformatics software tools for data visualization and analysis. He is dedicated to advancing cancer immunotherapy by developing models to predict peptide immunogenicity and explore antigen landscapes. In 2024, he joined Yale University to integrate cancer immunology and proteomics using multi-omics strategies.
