Biography

Mohammad Abdullah Zafar is an Associate Research Scientist and Research Director at the Aortic Institute, Yale-New Haven Hospital. With a focus on thoracic aortic disease, he is involved in a multidisciplinary approach that includes fields such as cardiothoracic surgery, molecular genetics, and epidemiology. Since joining the Aortic Institute in 2015, Dr. Zafar has dedicated his research to enhancing the understanding of the natural history, risk prediction, diagnosis, and effective therapies for thoracic aortic disease. Outside of work, he enjoys various leisure activities including soccer and spending time with friends and family.
