Dr. Mohammad Zarepour

Biography

Mohammad Saleh Zarepour is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Manchester, where he focuses on medieval Islamic philosophy and its intersections with various branches of philosophy including philosophy of language, logic, and mathematics. He completed his PhD in Philosophy at Tarbiat Modares University in 2016, following earlier studies in religious studies and philosophy at the University of Cambridge. In addition to this, Zarepour has held postdoctoral positions, including a role as a Humboldt Postdoctoral Researcher at the Munich School of Ancient Philosophy and as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow within the Global Philosophy of Religion Project at the University of Birmingham. His research interests are extensive, with a concentration on the philosophical traditions of medieval Islam, highlighting intricate discussions surrounding religion, language, and logical reasoning. Zarepour is also an active member of several professional associations in philosophy and continuously engages in research and collaboration within his expertise.
