Mohammad Hossein Zarifi is an associate professor at the Okanagan campus of the University of British Columbia. He received his PhD from the University of Tabriz in Iran, focusing on high-speed low-power analog circuit design and analog-to-digital converters for biomedical communication applications. Following the completion of his PhD, Dr. Zarifi pursued a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Alberta, where he investigated microwave planar structures for sensing applications. He is a senior member of the IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society and the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society and has served as a reviewer for numerous journals and conferences. In 2015, he was awarded the CMC-NRC place award for his contributions to the collaborative development of innovative microwave sensors. Dr. Zarifi's research interests include passive planar microwave resonators, integrated circuit design, and microelectro-mechanical devices.
