Biography

Mohammed J. Farooqi is an Instructional Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University, specializing in the field of Physics. Previously, he served as a full-time lecturer in Physics at institutions such as the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), Gonzaga University, and the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV). He obtained his undergraduate degree in Physics from the University of Texas Pan American and went on to earn his PhD in Physics from the University of Texas at San Antonio. With over fifteen years of teaching experience, he has worked as a high school Physics teacher, graduate teaching assistant, and lecturer. Dr. Farooqi joined the Texas A&M Higher Education Center in McAllen in the Fall of 2018. His research interests focus on Biophysics, particularly in the areas of photophysics and protein folding.
