Biography

Mohammed Saif is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical, Computer, Biomedical Engineering at Toronto Metropolitan University. He received his PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia in 2020, where he also completed a postdoctoral research fellowship from 2020 to 2022. Prior to his doctoral studies, he earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Communication Engineering from Taiz University in Yemen in 2010, followed by a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in Saudi Arabia in 2017. Dr. Saif's postdoctoral experience includes serving as a teaching fellow at the Edward S. Rogers Sr. Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto from 2023 to 2025. His research is focused on signal processing, wireless communications, and advanced concepts such as reconfigurable intelligent surfaces, moving antennas, digital twins, federated learning, and MIMO radar signal processing.
