Biography

Mohan Venkatachalam is the R.J. Reynolds Professor of Business Administration at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Iowa in 1996 and is a Chartered Accountant in India. Prior to joining Duke, he worked as a Business Accountant and Internal Auditor in India and the Middle East. At Stanford University, he taught various courses such as Financial Accounting, Financial Analysis, Equity Valuation, and Executive Compensation. His published research papers cover a wide range of topics including valuation, verbal and nonverbal communication, nonfinancial performance measures, accounting disclosures, derivatives, and corporate governance. He has served as an editor for Accounting Review and has been on the editorial boards of several leading academic journals including Accounting Review, Accounting Studies, and Contemporary Accounting Research.
