Dr. Mohsen Hossein

Biography

Mohsen Hossein is the Director of Graduate Programs at NYU Tandon School of Engineering. He holds a Ph.D. in Geo-Environmental Engineering from McGill University, where he also earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering and M. Eng in Civil Engineering. His research interests encompass Geo-Environmental Technology, Remediation Technology, Sustainable Development, and the dynamics of carbon footprints and emission trading. He has made significant contributions to the field through his publications on the solidification and stabilization of tailings using innovative technologies. Hossein has served as Co-PI for a project on real-time continuous in-situ monitoring of dissolved oxygen impacted groundwater, highlighting his commitment to advancing remediation practices. His extensive experience includes his role as Senior Project Manager at Birdsall Engineering from 2001 to 2010. Hossein's collaborative research works demonstrate a dedication to addressing critical environmental challenges while promoting sustainable engineering solutions.
