Biography

Mollie has been a community planner with over a decade of experience working with small, rural, and medium-sized urban communities, as well as Conservation Authorities in Ontario. She specializes in land use planning and environmental review. A full member of the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP) and a Registered Professional Planner (RPP), she has qualified as an expert witness in land use planning on multiple occasions. Mollie is dedicated to education and mentorship through teaching and volunteer initiatives, serving as a mentor and sponsor for candidates on their journey to becoming Registered Professional Planners. Her research aims to connect policy with practice, utilizing her field experience to inform and contribute to research that enhances the rural workforce and addresses housing affordability in small rural communities. She is committed to preparing graduate students with the knowledge and skills training required for a successful planning profession.
