Molly Saunders is a Research Associate in the Policy and Governance Program at the Crawford School of Public Policy, Australian National University. She is currently supporting a co-designed research project focused on experiences of young people with disabilities and young carers through institutional listening. As a PhD Candidate at the University of New South Wales, Molly examines gender inequity within marketised systems of disability support, utilizing case study analysis to highlight women's disabilities and human rights, particularly in relation to the National Disability Insurance Scheme. In addition to her research, Molly is actively involved with UNSW’s Australian Human Rights Institute as an associate and serves as a steering committee member for UNSW’s Women’s Wellbeing Academy. She holds leadership in the Australian Sociological Association’s Postgraduate Portfolio for 2025-2026. Her broad research interests encompass gender inequality, feminist theory, critical disability theory, critical health humanities, human rights, inclusive research methodologies, and minority group experiences.
