Biography

Mona Gupta, MD, PhD, is a consultation-liaison psychiatrist and researcher at the Research Center of CHUM in Montreal. She is also an associate professor in the Department of Psychiatry and in the bioethics programs of the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine at the University of Montreal. She obtained her medical degree from McGill University and completed her residency and fellowship training in psychiatry at the University of Toronto, where she also earned a doctorate in bioethics. Dr. Gupta employs conceptual and qualitative methods in her research, with a focus on consultation-liaison psychiatry, which is dedicated to providing psychiatric care for medically ill patients. She is also interested in the psychological aspects of living with type 1 diabetes.
