Biography

Mona Sharifi, MD, MPH, is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Yale School of Medicine and Biostatistics at Yale School of Public Health, with a clinical focus in General Pediatrics and Health Informatics. As the Chief of General Pediatrics and Director of Pediatric Health Services Implementation Research at Yale, Dr. Sharifi is instrumental in leading multi-site NIH-funded R01 studies that explore the implementation of obesity interventions among children and adolescents. Dr. Sharifi received her undergraduate degrees in biology and economics from Emory University, her medical degree from Vanderbilt University, and has completed advanced training in public health and health services research at Harvard. With continuous funding from NIH, AHRQ, and CDC since 2010, she actively mentors students and junior faculty across various disciplines.
