Biography

Mong-Lin Yu works as a Senior Lecturer in the School of Primary and Allied Health Care at Monash University. With extensive clinical experience as an occupational therapist over the past 18 years, he specializes in Occupational Therapy with a focus on children's health and well-being. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy at Kaohsiung Medical University in Taiwan in 2001, followed by a Master of Occupational Therapy at the University of Queensland in Australia in 2003. He obtained his PhD in Occupational Therapy from the University of Queensland in 2009. Since joining Monash University in 2010, he has taken on roles that include Academic Fieldwork Coordinator, where he oversees fieldwork education for the Bachelor of Occupational Therapy program. His teaching portfolio includes several undergraduate units, and he has received multiple awards for his teaching excellence, including the Monash University School of Primary Health Care Education Committee Innovation Teaching Excellence Award in 2015 and the International Teaching Excellence Award in 2016. His research interests encompass children's time use and activity participation, as well as the influences of parenting practices on child development.
