Biography

Moni Fricke is an associate professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at the College of Rehabilitation Sciences, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Manitoba. She joined the department in 1999 as a part-time instructor before becoming a full-time faculty member in August 2019. Dr. Fricke assumed the role of Director of the Office of Interprofessional Collaboration. Her research interests center on interprofessional collaboration, social accountability, and health equity at macro, meso, and micro levels. Dr. Fricke has over 38 publications, including refereed journal articles and conference proceedings, and has presented nationally and internationally on over 96 occasions, including 23 as an invited speaker. She is actively involved in various professional committees, including the College of Physiotherapists of Manitoba and the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Additionally, Dr. Fricke contributes to collaborative research focusing on interprofessional education and collaborative patient-centered care, with an emphasis on access for refugees and newcomers in Canada.
