Biography

Monica Koyama is an Associate Professor of Professional Practice at USC Annenberg with over 25 years of experience in creating award-winning entertainment marketing campaigns for major companies such as FX Networks, Netflix, National Geographic, and Warner Bros. She has a rich academic background, having obtained both her BA and MA from USC Annenberg in 2020. Koyama began her teaching career as an adjunct professor in the communication management master’s program, where she focuses on marketing classes. Koyama is currently the co-director of the Master of Communication Management program and teaches both online and on-campus courses. She has significant expertise in advertising, diversity inclusion, entertainment, marketing, and sports. Koyama has received several prestigious awards, including the Promax/BDA Telly Award and the Brisbane Advertising & Design National Web Marketing Award.
