Dr. Mónica Morales Good

Biography

Mónica Morales-Good is an Assistant Professor at the University of British Columbia's Faculty of Creative and Critical Studies, specializing in Language Sciences. Her research focuses on Spanish culture and literature, indigenous literature, the reclamation and revitalization of indigenous languages specifically in Mexico, and court interpretations of indigenous peoples' rights with a focus on cases in Oaxaca. She actively engages with the themes of language and sustainability, promoting understanding and acknowledgment of indigenous rights and issues. Mónica contributes to academic discussions on the intersection of language and cultural identity, with particular emphasis on the rights of indigenous peoples in legal contexts.
