Biography

Monique S Balthazar is a Clinical Translational Nurse Scientist and a triple board-certified Nurse Practitioner dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge and enhancing the health and well-being of underserved and marginalized populations. Her research focuses on the biobehavioral and socioenvironmental underpinnings of sleep and brain health. She is committed to research innovation, evidenced-based practice, and health equity. Dr. Balthazar holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and a PhD, as well as post-master's certificates from Duke University and Case Western Reserve University. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) at Vanderbilt University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and a Bachelor of Arts in French Studies from Andrews University.
