Biography

Dr. Monique Anderson Starks is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Duke University, with a strong focus on cardiac care and emergency medical research. She earned her M.D. from Harvard Medical School in 2006. Dr. Starks has been awarded multiple grants from the National Institutes of Health and the American Heart Association, focusing on innovative medical solutions such as drone-deployed automated external defibrillators (AEDs) to improve survival rates in cardiac arrest cases, particularly in rural areas and African American communities.
