Biography

Monowar Bhuyan is an Associate Professor at Umeå University, leading the Cyber Analytics Learning Group and serving as a Research Leader at ADSLab. He received his doctoral degree in Computer Science Engineering from Tezpur University in 2014. Monowar has significant experience in academia, having served as a Researcher in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Tezpur University, India, and as Assistant Professor at Kaziranga University, India. He has worked as a Visiting Researcher at the Laboratory for Cyber Resilience at NAIST in Japan. His primary research interests include machine learning, particularly distributed, federated, and responsible machine learning, anomaly detection, AI security, and distributed systems. He has taught various courses at Umeå University, including Cloud Computing, Distributed Systems, Operating Systems, and Computer Security, and he supervises Bachelor’s and Master’s theses. Monowar is currently developing a new course on Network Security and has published research on automated DJ mixing and future cloud computing innovations.
