Dr. Mook Bangalore

Biography

Mook Bangalore is an assistant professor in the School of Public Policy at Penn State University. His research focuses on the relationship between the environment and development, particularly how households in the Global South are affected by environmental change and the climate crisis. He has a strong background in sociology and geography, which informs his exploration of these complex issues. Prior to his current role, Dr. Bangalore was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and Princeton University in the High Meadows Environmental Institute. He holds a PhD from the London School of Economics, where he specialized in Geography and Environment, as well as the Grantham Research Institute. His work is influenced by a commitment to understanding and addressing the impacts of climate change on vulnerable communities and ensuring equitable access to environmental resources.
