Biography

Morag Taylor is a Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy at UNSW Sydney and a Conjoint Senior Research Fellow at Neuroscience Research Australia. She has been awarded the prestigious NHMRC-ARC Dementia Research Development Fellowship from 2016 to 2020. Her current research focuses on physical cognitive function and the prevention of fall and fall-injury risk among older individuals, especially those with dementia. Morag actively presents her work at national and international conferences and has published widely in peer-reviewed journals. She completed her PhD in 2014, with a dissertation titled ‘Understanding fall risk in cognitively impaired older people’. Prior to her academic career, Morag had over 15 years of clinical experience, predominantly in the Aged Care Rehabilitation ward and Falls, Balance, and Bone Health Clinic at Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney.
