Biography

Morgan Nilsson is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Gothenburg, where he has taught since 1989. He holds a PhD in Slavic languages and has a broad interest in linguistics, particularly the comparison of Somali and Slavic languages. His teaching focuses on Somali language courses for native speakers and includes a variety of Slavic languages such as Slovene, Polish, Czech, and others. He actively updates a bibliography of literature related to the scientific study of the Somali language and is involved in creating a Somali–Swedish–English dictionary. He engages with electronic text corpora to further investigate linguistic phenomena.
