Biography

Morten Kyed is an associate professor with a Ph.D. in sociology at the Department of Sociology and Social Work at Aalborg University. He has a long-standing research focus on work environment, gender, and culture in workplaces, particularly concentrating on socio-emotional skills and the ambulance service. His work explores family relationships of returning veterans, contributing valuable insights into social dynamics. He has published his research in both national and international journals, including Safety Science and Sociology Health Illness. He has also received an individual postdoc grant from the Danish Council for Independent Research. In addition to research, Kyed actively lectures and supervises sociological theory and qualitative methods at all academic levels in the sociology program, while serving as the coordinator for the 3rd semester thematic frameworks. He is involved in departmental governance and has experience as a health and safety representative.
