Dr. Morten Warmind

Biography

Morten Warmind is an Associate Professor at the University of Copenhagen, specializing in the field of Sociology with a focus on pre-Christian Northern European religions, particularly Celtic and Norse religious traditions. He has a strong interest in Hellenistic religions of the Roman Empire and is currently involved in research related to the Christianization of the Roman Empire in the 4th century. His academic work emphasizes the dissemination of knowledge through teaching and education, having previously taught at the People’s University since 1983 and at the Open University since 1997. Warmind also engages with the public through lectures and contributions to media, addressing relevant issues surrounding religious change and historical contexts.
