Morteza Meftah, MD, is an Associate Professor at NYU Langone Health, specializing in Hip and Knee Reconstruction within the Department of Orthopedics. He completed his Doctorate in Medicine at Shahid Beheshti University in 2001, followed by residency training in Orthopedic Surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital in 2009. Dr. Meftah has pursued further training through fellowships in Musculoskeletal and Adult Reconstructive Orthopedic Surgery at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and Methodist Hospital, respectively. His clinical practice and research focus primarily on complex primary and revision total hip and knee replacements, emphasizing rapid postsurgical recovery, outpatient joint replacement surgery, and opioid-sparing surgical pathways. Dr. Meftah is a recognized expert in delivering high-quality care for hip and knee procedures and has authored numerous publications while holding patents for various instrument designs in the field of joint replacement.
