Biography

Morty Yalovsky is a Professor Emeritus at the Desautels Faculty of Management, McGill University, where he has made significant contributions to the fields of Operations Management and Statistics. He holds a PhD in Statistics and has specialized in various areas including Data Analytics, Forecasting Methods & Regression Modelling, Risk Management, and Statistical Methodology. With a rich academic background, he has received several research grants and fellowships, including the SSHRC Research Grant and the SSHRC Leave Fellowship Award. His recent research focuses on Hospital capacity management based on queueing theory, highlighting his expertise in applying statistical methods to real-world problems. Yalovsky has a strong dedication to teaching, having led graduate courses in management research statistics, fostering an understanding of fundamental statistical concepts and their applications in management research.
