Dr. Moses Kiggundu

Biography

Moses Kiggundu is a Professor Emeritus and Distinguished Research Professor at the Sprott School of Business, Carleton University. His career has been dedicated to advancing management scholarship in Africa and globally, focusing on research, education, policy, and practice. He is the founding editor of the Africa Journal of Management published by Taylor & Francis and serves as an advisor and member of the Strategic Studies Group at the African Capacity Building Foundation. Kiggundu was the inaugural recipient of the Emerald Africa Academy Management Trailblazer Award for his contributions to advancing management scholarship. His work involves mentoring doctoral students and colleagues, promoting research that enhances management practices in Africa and its connection to the rest of the world. His research interests include development issues related to Africa, China-Africa relations, and the role of public, private sectors, and NGOs in facilitating effective societal participation in the global economy. He has authored several books on managing organizations in developing countries and globalization in transition economies.
