Biography

Moto Itoi is an ophthalmologist currently serving as the Vice Director of Dougenzaka Itoi Eye Clinic and a Visiting Fellow at UNSW Sydney. He obtained his PhD from Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine in Japan, where he conducted research on keratoconus corneal morphology. His ongoing research focuses on irregular astigmatism related to keratoconus, pediatric ocular trauma, and myopia progression in post-keratoplasty eyes. Dr. Itoi remains active in delivering lectures at national and international conferences and contributes to textbooks and review articles. His goal is to advance the science of contact lenses and promote ocular health through innovative lens designs and education.
