Biography

Mottaqiallah Taouil is currently an Associate Professor in the Computer Engineering Laboratory at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science at Delft University of Technology. His expertise lies in hardware dependability and he is a co-founder of Cognitive-IC, a startup focused on hardware dependability solutions. Taouil received both his Master's and Doctoral degrees from Delft University of Technology in 2009 and 2014, respectively. During his PhD, he developed the 3D-COSTAR research and was awarded the Hipeach Technology Transfer Award in 2015. Following his PhD, he worked as a Post-Doctoral researcher at the Computer Engineering Lab of the university and was subsequently appointed assistant professor. His research is centered on hardware dependability which includes reliability, testability and hardware security. Additionally, Taouil has published over 100 journal and conference papers across a variety of topics, accumulating a total of 1573 citations, with an h-index of 22 and an i10-index of 48. He is involved in organizing conferences and summer schools and holds several positions such as Program Chair and Publication Chair. His current research projects involve collaboration with various industry and academic partners including ESA and IMEC, focusing on developing solutions to ensure manufactured chips and hardware are reliable and trustworthy.
