Biography

Moya Clancy is a qualified Clinical Psychologist and Lecturer in Clinical Psychology at the University of Glasgow. She specializes in trauma and psychosis, having developed a particular focus on interventions for these areas during her doctoral studies. Her thesis was titled 'Trauma and Psychosis: Developing an Interventionist-Causal Approach to Dissociation and Voice-Hearing in People with Complex Trauma'. In her previous roles, she served as a Trial Coordinator for the Wellcome Trust funded AVATAR2 Trial, contributing significantly to the field of mental health therapy. Moya engages actively in teaching, providing supervision to doctoral students in the Clinical Psychology training program, and has participated in various courses related to Psychosis and Digital Mental Health. She has received several awards for her research and innovation in psychological approaches, including funding for the AVATAR Therapy Implementation Project and the Glasgow Knowledge Exchange Fund. Moya is passionate about continuing her work in mental health and welcomes collaboration and new project ideas.
