Biography

Mrigesh Bhatia is a Lecturer in Health Policy at the London School of Economics (LSE). He holds an MD in Preventive Social Medicine from Bombay and a PhD in Health Economics from the University of London. With extensive teaching experience in India, Bhatia has served as a Lecturer at Seth G S Medical College and KEM Hospital in Bombay, and as a Reader in the Department of Health Services Studies at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. He has also been a post-doctoral fellow in Population Dynamics at Johns Hopkins School of Public Health in Baltimore, USA, and an Honorary Lecturer at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Bhatia is committed to health policy across developing countries and has worked with international organizations such as the EU, World Bank, and UNICEF, contributing his expertise to health systems and Indian healthcare. He is the Course Director for the MSc in Health Policy, Planning and Financing at LSE and teaches various courses including HP401 Introduction to Health Policy Politics and HP403 Health Systems Policies in Developing Countries.
