Dr. Müge Tekin

Biography

Müge Tekin is an Assistant Professor of Operations Management at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University Rotterdam in the Netherlands. She obtained her Ph.D. in Operations Management from Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Spain. Prior to joining RSM, Müge was a postdoctoral researcher at Imperial College Business School in the UK. Her research interests lie at the intersection of Operations and Marketing Economics, particularly focusing on business analytics and competitive intelligence in service industries such as restaurants and hotels. She addresses business challenges from an operations perspective by utilizing internal market and competitor data. Müge employs cross-sectional data models, including machine learning and econometrics, to gain insights into customer behavior and firm operations. Her work emphasizes practical applications and frameworks to guide business decisions effectively.
