Biography

Muhammad Jaseemuddin is a Professor and Program Director for the Computer Networks Master of Engineering program at Toronto Metropolitan University. He received his Bachelor of Engineering from N.E.D. University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi, Pakistan in 1989, followed by a Master of Science from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1991, and a Ph.D. from the University of Toronto in 1997. Jaseemuddin has held a post-doctoral research position at the Network Architecture Lab at the University of Toronto, focusing on Network Management using Virtual Networks. He has also worked at Nortel Networks in the Advanced IP group within the Wireless Technology Lab from 1998 to 2001, where he contributed to the Wireless Service Delivery Platform and the development and implementation of Open IP suite IP protocols. His contributions have addressed Quality of Service (QoS), routing, and handover issues within mobile wireless IP access networks. In 2002, he became an Associate Professor at Toronto Metropolitan University, where he continues to advance research in mobile wireless access networks and IP routing.
