Biography

Mukesh Choudhary works at the ICAR-Indian Institute of Maize Research in New Delhi. He is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Western Australia, focusing on genetics and breeding for meiotic heat stress tolerance in wheat. His research projects include maize biofortification and breeding high-yielding quality fodder maize cultivars, as well as the development of baby corn hybrids. Mukesh holds a Master's degree in Genetics from the Indian Agricultural Research Institute, where he specialized in the morphological and biochemical characterization of crtRB1 introgressed MAS derived β-carotene rich inbreds maize. He also completed his Bachelor's degree in Agriculture from the Agricultural Research Station (ARS)—Badnapur, under Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth (VNMKV). Mukesh is actively engaged in research aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in education and agricultural advancement.
