Mung Ting Chung is currently an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Calgary's School of Languages, Linguistics, Literatures and Cultures. She previously served as an Assistant Professor (Teaching) from 2019 to 2024. Her research interests include Hong Kong literature, Sinophone studies, and cultural Cold War studies. She is a co-editor of the forthcoming volume 'Coming of Age in Chinese Literature and Cinema: Sinophone Variations Bildungsroman' scheduled for release by Amsterdam University Press in June 2025. Additionally, she has completed a monograph entitled 'Writing Borders: Hong Kong Literary Production in the Early Cold War Era', under contract with Brill. Mung Ting is committed to community engagement, having served as a translator for the Fête Chinoise magazine and participating in initiatives that foster cultural connections with the Chinese Canadian community.
