Munseob Lee is an Associate Professor of Economics and the Lawrence B. Sallye K. Krause Chair in Korean Studies at the University of California, San Diego's School of Global Policy and Strategy. He directs the Korea-Pacific Program. His research focuses on macroeconomics, economic growth and development, and the Korean economy, both South and North. Lee is affiliated with the Conference Research Income Wealth, and serves as a research affiliate at the IZA Institute of Labor Economics. His work frequently appears in major national and global news outlets, and he has received several awards, including the Sherman Family Korea Emerging Scholar Award and the Young Scholar Award from the Korea-America Economic Association.
