Welcome to the Muralidhar lab! Our research group at the University of Chicago develops new evolutionary theories across a broad range of topics that deal with the consequences of sexual reproduction. We focus on understanding the evolution of sexual dimorphism and the dynamics of sexual selection, as well as how these factors impact speciation processes. Additionally, our interests extend to the transitions in sex-determining mechanisms, genetic conflict, and various other aspects of evolutionary genetics. Essentially, anything related to evolutionary theory is within the scope of our research.
