Biography

Murray Craig is a lecturer at Moray House School of Education and Sport at the University of Edinburgh, focusing on Physical Education within Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes. With a career that spans over two decades, he has held leadership roles in teaching and organizational aspects of Physical Education. After graduating with a BEd (Hons) in Physical Education from Liverpool John Moores University in 1995, he began his teaching career in Northamptonshire. After time spent in professional rugby, he returned to education at George Watson’s College in Edinburgh. In 2005, he transitioned to further education at Edinburgh’s Telford College, lecturing in Sports Coaching and Sports Development while earning an MSc in Applied Sports Psychology at Staffordshire University. In 2011, he joined higher education at Moray House, and later completed his Doctorate in Education at the University of Edinburgh in 2019. Currently, he leads various courses in both Undergraduate and Postgraduate education in Physical Education and supervises research in this field.
