Biography

Professor Murray Norris is the Director of the UNSW Centre for Childhood Cancer Research and has an extensive background in paediatric cancer research. Norris has been involved in numerous high-profile research initiatives, yielding insights into the molecular mechanisms driving drug resistance in paediatric leukaemia and neuroblastoma. His collaborative efforts have resulted in important advancements in the understanding of MYCN oncogene regulation, leading to innovative therapeutic developments. He has received several prestigious awards for his contributions to cancer research and has been an invited speaker at international conferences, highlighting his expertise within the field.
