Biography

Mustafa Akcınar acquired his bachelor's degree in sociology from Hacettepe University in Ankara in 2005 and graduated from Middle East Technical University in 2010. His thesis focused on the Dersimi immigrant community in Berlin. He has worked on numerous research projects in Turkey, which has allowed him to acquire a wide range of country-specific knowledge, particularly in the Kurdish regions. Since March 2012, he has been involved in a Swiss National Science Foundation funded project titled 'Development Trust Upper Mesopotamia' under the supervision of Professors Heinz Käufeler and Peter Finke.
