Biography

Mwali Muray is an Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing at the University of Ottawa. Her doctoral research focused on the experiences of francophone nursing care providers and patients in health care within official language minority communities in Ontario. She has taught courses in health assessment and complex nursing care, and has guest lectured in both English and French at undergraduate and graduate levels. Muray has served as the head of clinical education at the School of Nursing, Laurentian University, and has practical experience as a clinical educator at Institut du Savoir Montfort, along with prior nursing experience in emergency services in Sudbury and Ottawa. Her academic focus aims to address health needs among linguistic visible minorities and issues regarding health services management and unequal access to healthcare for vulnerable and marginalized populations, including francophone minorities and those requiring acute and critical care nursing.
