Generate a tailored SOP for Dr. Myles Brown. Improve your application with a focused, well-structured draft.
Myles Brown is the Emil Frei III Professor of Medicine at Dana Farber Cancer Institute, where his primary focus is on the molecular understanding of steroid hormone receptors' actions in human cancer. His research work has identified the p160 class of steroid receptor coactivators and illuminated the crucial role that coregulators play in tissue-specific promoter actions of steroid hormone receptors and their ligands. He has been instrumental in defining steroid receptor binding sites at a genome-wide scale, leading to the concept of the cistrome, which identifies cis-acting targets of trans-acting factors across the genome. Brown utilized ChIP-seq to define epigenomic and cistromic changes that underpin the development of hormone-independent cancer. He co-directs the Center for Functional Cancer Epigenetics at Dana-Farber, fostering experimental and computational expertise to support the activities of lab trainees.
