Biography

Myriam Lucia Di Marco completed her Bachelor in Philosophy in 2009 at the Institute of Philosophy of the University of Lugano. She further pursued courses in Biblical Archaeology and Readership at the Studium Biblicum in Jerusalem in 2008 and 2009. She earned her Master’s degree in Philosophy in 2011 from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan and took courses in theology from the Northern Italy Faculty of Theology as well as Hebrew at the Jewish School Ulpan in Milan. In 2014, she obtained her PhD in Philosophy from the Pontifical Lateran University of Rome, focusing her thesis on the relationship between Western and Middle Eastern political models concerning multicultural challenges. From 2011 to 2014, she served as a doctoral assistant under Professor Azzolino Chiappini and was a postdoctoral researcher at the School of Political Science at the University of Haifa, Israel, from 2016 to 2018. Her research examined aspects of Swiss federalism in relation to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and has been published by the Center for Studies on Federalism in Turin. Currently, she works as a scientific assistant to Professor René Roux and is engaged in various research projects that address themes of identity recognition and discrimination of minority groups in the Euro-Mediterranean region.
