Biography

Myrta Kohler is a Research Associate at the Institute of Implementation Science in Health Care, affiliated with the University of Zurich. She holds a doctorate in nursing science and has a comprehensive background in nursing education. After completing her basic nursing education, Myrta worked for four years at the Cantonal Hospital Graubünden. In 2011, she transitioned into roles focused on nursing development and research at Valens Clinics. Currently, she is also a Senior Nurse Consultant since March 2024. Myrta completed her Master's degree in Nursing at the Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences in 2012 and obtained her PhD in Nursing Science from the University of Vienna in 2018. From 2013 to 2024, she was associated with the Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences, where she served as a professor from 2020 to 2024 and established the Competence Center for Rehabilitation and Health Promotion. With over eleven years of experience combining research and practical nursing, her research interests encompass rehabilitation nursing, self-management, health promotion, and integrated care.
