Biography

N. Nounou Taleghani is a Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine. She completed her undergraduate education at UCLA, graduating in 1986, followed by earning her M.D. and Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the Chicago Medical School. After completing her residency in Emergency Medicine at Stanford in 1999, she joined the faculty of the Department of Surgery. Taleghani briefly worked at Weill Cornell Medical College where she served as the Associate Dean for Clinical Curriculum and developed a multilingual medical interpreting program. She rejoined Stanford's faculty in Fall 2009 as a Clinical Associate Professor and Attending Physician in the Division of Emergency Medicine. She has received multiple teaching excellence awards and has been involved in various community service roles, including Medical Director for the Palo Alto Fire Department and the Avon Breast Cancer Walk.
