Biography

Dr. Na Zhao is a tenure-track Assistant Professor at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) since August 2022. Dr. Zhao completed her Ph.D. in Computer Science at the National University of Singapore (NUS) in March 2021, and her thesis focused on learning scene semantics in 3D point clouds. Notably, her work won the IMDA Excellence Prize, awarded for outstanding Ph.D. thesis in the School of Computing at NUS. Dr. Zhao's research primarily intersects computer vision and machine learning. She specializes in scene understanding, which includes object detection and semantic segmentation. Furthermore, she explores machine learning challenges such as data-efficient learning, out-of-distribution learning, multi-modal learning, continual learning, and robust learning. Her research has been showcased in numerous top-tier computer vision and artificial intelligence conferences and journals.
